The College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Tourism (CFWT)

Our college offers training in three specialized science fields: Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism. Earlier known as Faculty of Forestry and Nature Conservation, the college has made SUA a key source of knowledge, expertise and rare skills that have been used to inform and guide natural resources use and protection policies in Tanzania and other countries across Africa. Such skills have fostered transformations in several sectors that underpin key growth trajectories in the economic and social development of Africa. We're not just educators; we're stewards of the wild and guardians of our planet's greatest treasures. Our academic portfolio is as diverse as the ecosystems we aim to protect. At the dawn of the fiftieth year of training, it is appropriate for CFWT to celebrate the achievements thus far gained, reflect on the challenges encountered and analyze future needs so as to make improvements for the next fifty years. This anniversary is about affirming the legacy of academic excellence and a steadfast commitment to nature conservation.
