Morogoro Municipality is surrounded by a variety of attractions:- Uluguru Mountains (Hiking &trekking, Choma waterfalls, Traditional villages)
- Mikumi National Park (Wildlife safaris and Bird watching), 118 KM (2 hrs. drive)
- Kinole waterfalls (a bit more remote) located near Kinole Village
- Sokoine University of Agriculture botanical garden and Cultural heritage sites
- Morning sight (Historical landmark and hiking spot)
- Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park)- one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world (240 km / 149 miles, 5 hrs. drive) from Morogoro.
- Morogoro Central Market: fresh produce, spices, crafts, and other local goods
- Boma Road which offers a glimpse into colonial-era architecture
- Mindu Dam: The dam provides water for the town and is a serene spot for picnics, birdwatching, and relaxing by the water.

Local Cuisine
Savor local flavors at nearby restaurants:- Ugali: Ugali is a staple food in Tanzania. It is made from maize flour and water. It is normally served with meat, chicken, fish, or vegetables
- Nyama Choma (Grilled Meat): This is one of the most beloved dishes in Tanzania, consisting of grilled beef, goat, or chicken, seasoned with spices.
- Mishikaki (Skewered Meat): Similar to kebabs, mishikaki is skewered and grilled beef or goat meat, marinated in a flavorful mixture of spices.
